The Chinese American Citizens Alliance (C.A.C.A.) helps Chinese Americans across the United States advocate for their civil rights, preserve their cultural heritage, and make a difference in their communities through education, leadership, and community service. ​

About Us

​The Chinese American Citizens Alliance - Houston Lodge is part of the National Chinese American Citizens Alliance, a non-partisan Chinese American fraternal, benevolent non-profit organization founded in 1895.

Our Purpose
For every Chinese American to be a fulfilled American citizen with an equal opportunity to discover and enjoy the American way of life.
Our Vision
To empower Chinese Americans, we promote American citizenship, practice responsible patriotism, pursue the highest ethics, morals, and values of community, preserve historical and cultural traditions, and provide youth education.
Our mission
To empower Chinese Americans by promoting the highest ethiccs and morals, by practicing and defending American citizenship in its fullest rights and responsibilities by observing respectfully American Patriotism, by preserving historical and cultural traditions, and by providing youth leadership and community learning through education.
Our Principles
  • To fully enjoy and defend the rights and privileges of American citizenship,
  • To support and obey the laws and constitution of the United States,
  • To cultivate the mind through exchange of knowledge,
  • To effect a higher character among the members,
  • To observe and practice the fundamentals of brotherly love and mutual help.
Our History
Established in 1954, the Houston Lodge is a part of the National Chinese American Citizens Alliance, a non-partisan Chinese American fraternal, benevolent non-profit organization founded in 1895. Our national organization began in San Francisco, California. It was formed as a result of unfair immigration laws passed solely against the Chinese called the "1882 Exclusion Act ". (See www.cacanational.org)

C.A.C.A. has been spearheading efforts against unfair immigration laws, working to promote naturalization and citizenship, participating in the census count, having equal educational economic opportunities, and advocating voter registration.
Membership
Why should I join the Chinese American Citizens Alliance?
Bcoming a member of CACA Houston Lodge, you will: 
  • Network with other Chinese Americans living in Houston. 
  • Learn about cultures, traditions, customs, religion and all sorts of everyday things.
  • Experience the popular sports from China and Taiwan, such as ping pong 乒乓, badminton 羽毛球 and pickleball 匹克球.
  • Experience the games like mahjong 麻將 etc.
  • Learn how to cook popular Chinese food, such as dumplings etc.
  • Network with other Chinese Americans in Houston or around the country from all walks of life.
  • CACA Houston welcomes you to join us in accomplishing our mission.
  • Membership fees are $25 for an individual and $40 for a family.

Miss Chinatown  USA Pageant

PictureOn March 6, 2026 Megan Martono, Miss Chinatown Houston was crowned 2nd Princess at the Miss Chinatown USA Pageant in San Francisco. Megan was presented with a "gum pao" and "hong bao" by Joanna Tom, National CACA Marshal and Sherman Tang.
